Fashion Society Objective & Planned events:
The Fashion Society is Wye’s newest society having launched ourselves in May 2006. We are the largest society in Wye, with over 100 members.
Our primary objective is to create a better understanding of all aspects of fashion. As well as providing students with an understanding and appreciation of the multidimensional nature of the fashion business. This will be achieved by the following:
· Keep students up-to-date with the latest fashion news by means of a fourth nightly newsletter.
· Organising group trips to fashion exhibitions (V&A, museum of fashion and textiles etc..)
· Showcase student’s fashion/art creations
· Invite guest speakers to impart fashion knowledge
· Organise fashion shows
The fashion society will hold a charitable fashion show in the South Kensington Great Hall on Friday 3rd November 2006.
