The Union offers various pieces of training to members - whether they are officers of Clubs, Societies or Projects, Sabbaticals or Academic Representatives. The various sections below discuss the style of training available. Materials are constantly being updated, so it is worth looking at the pages regularly if you think things may have changed.
Training is delivered in two ways - face-to-face sessions and eLearning. Face-to-face sessions generally require a place to be booked, this can be done online. Information about the face-to-face sessions available is contained within the linked pages in the sections below. Information about all the eLearning currently available can be found online here.
Some training requires that a validation quiz be taken after the face-to-face session or eLearning has been completed. Information about training validation can be found online here.
All volunteers - committee members of Clubs, Societies & Projects, Academic Representatives, Welfare Officers and other elected officers. If this is you then you must complete Key Information eLearning, this is available online and will take about 15 minutes. At the end of the eLearning you will be required to take a short validation quiz.
The training programme for officers of Clubs, Societies & Projects consists of a mixture of eLearning and more traditional face-to-face training sessions and workshops. The different delivery methods are tailored to the type of training and people carrying out different roles within Clubs, Societies or Projects.

Other face-to-face sessions are available which are not compulsory, a full description of all face-to-face sessions which are available can be found here. Anyone can attend any of these sessions, and no one has to attend everything - unless they want to.

Apart from Key Information eLearning, all online training material for people involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate representation systems, as well as Welfare Officers, can be found in the Student Rep Resources section of the Representation area of the website.
