Environmental Policy Working Group

The Union is re-writing its Environmental Policy over the summer, to keep it updated and add new goals to what has already been achieved. This process is being led by the Environmental Officers Reuben Gibbons and Stef Piatek, and the Union President 2010/11 Alex Kendall.
For a University such as ours, it is vital that we lead the way in reducing our impact on the Environment, from recycling to protecting green spaces to reducing our emissions. The Union has a small effect compared to the College as a whole but we can play our part, and potentially affect College policy as well.
If you want to get involved in helping to re-write the Environmental Policy by bringing in new ideas and researching facts and statistics then come and join the working group. We have had a preliminary meeting in July which has been a great start but we need more student input. Several more meetings are planned before October, but the group will keep in touch during the summer over email with suggestions and ideas.
