Don't miss our first social on Monday, 13 October (details below).

The German Society is the social hub for all those interested in German culture and language. Whether you’re a native speaker or not, there are lots of reasons to join:

Social Networking & Culture - We organise pub nights, German film outings, exhibitions, political lectures and many other events relevant to German culture. Last year saw the societies of Cambridge, LSE and Imperial get together in Oxford for a formal dinner, and we are working towards a similar event again this year.

Studying German - Whether you’re planning on spending an entire year in a German speaking country as a part of your degree or simply want to brush up your language skills, the most efficient way to practice is to come along to one of our socials and experience the real thing. We’ve all been in your shoes and we’ll do our best to make you comfortable.

Unique Career Opportunities - We maintain relations with leading companies in Germany and the UK who advertise internships, jobs and other opportunities to our members that you won’t be offered anywhere else.

Science Tuition Programme - If you’re a native German speaker, we can help you become a (paid) science tutor for an Abitur student at the Deutsche Schule London. To learn more, contact us via the link above.

McKinsey & Company
Thursday, 30 October 6.30pm
Want to be inspired by exceptional leaders?
At McKinsey, we help world-leading clients in the public, private and third sectors to meet their biggest strategic, operational and organisational challenges. Our goal is to provide distinctive and long-lasting performance improvements – in short, it’s about having an impact. Making a difference.

Working as part of a small team, and dedicated to one project at a time, you’ll be fully involved from the very start of your first project. No two weeks will be the same: from gathering and analysing data, to interviewing stakeholders or presenting your findings to clients, the range of industries and business issues to which you’ll have exposure will mean that you’re constantly acquiring new skills and experience. And as a bright, motivated newcomer, you can expect your ideas and opinions to be encouraged and valued, right from day one.
If you are a final year student from any degree discipline, we would like to invite you to our presentation at the Queens's Lawn, Imperial College London, South Kensington Campus, London, SW7 2AZ on Thursday 30 October at 18h30. It would be helpful to us if you could pre-register your interest for attending our presentation, as spaces are limited, by Thursday 23 October - by clicking on the link below. If you have registered, you will hear back from us at least three working days before the presentation to confirm your place.

After our presentation, there will be a chance for you to talk to our consultants from many of our offices and practice areas.
