The Cypriot Society is all about sharing the culture of Cyprus and our inimitable way of having fun! With us you will gain new experiences and make new friends. We are one of the few societies with a very high turnover of members each year (over 150) because we organize a wide variety of events which make university life more fun.
Cyprus is a country with rich history, unique culture and with the Mediterranean spirit lighting it all up! Our aim is to promote the Cypriot way of living and even let you know some of our little Cypriot secrets. Learn how to dance Cypriot traditional dances for free and perform in the International Night Show in mid-February. Party with us at events either organised by us or in collaboration with other London universities. Have fun playing card games, backgammon (what we refer to as ‘tavli’) and more at our annual event, ‘Kafeneio’, or participate in sports events. Refine yourselves with planned trips to theatres and last but not least, travel with us in Europe! Last year’s destination was Germany, and in previous years we have visited Italy, Spain and other popular European destinations.
