Athletics (Medics)
ICSM Athletics is a thriving club which caters for a wide range of talents, from national athletes to the more ‘social’ members! We are a friendly club, who are actively recruiting new members with plans for bops and exciting fresher entertainments. Everyone is welcome at training, whether you are preparing for a specific event, improving your conditioning or just trying something new. We can also put you in contact with coaches and give you information on extra training sessions if you require. We participate in five events, including trips to the BUCS Indoor and Outdoor Championships and the new varsity fixture The Sir Roger Bannister Trophy (www.sirrogerbannistertrophy.co.uk).
Not only can we boast of distinguished past members such as Sir Roger Bannister but also an impressive array of silverware; the United Hospitals Shield (the largest in the Imperial College cabinet!) was retained for the forth year running this season. This prestigious event predates the modern Olympics and was closely contested by RUMS this year.
