Wanted: ICREC Student Representative
Friday 06 Aug 2010

The Imperial College Research Ethics Committee (ICREC) is looking for a student representative to attend its meetings.

ICREC reviews studies that fall outside the remit of the NHS ethics committees, that require an ethical opinion and the studies range from simple questionnaire studies to complex studies taking place outside the United Kingdom.

The meetings are held every other month (a total of 6 per year) at the South Kensington Campus and last for around 2 hours. The Committee receives on average 10 applications per meeting and the members receive the papers a week before the meeting to review.

The representative should be at least Masters level, preferably enrolled onto a PhD course and the post is from September 2010 to September 2011. Interested students should email Lucy Parker (lucy.parker@imperial.ac.uk) for more information or to express their interest. The deadline for registering interest is noon on the 1st of September 2010.
