Welcome to the ICU Governance Review 2006 webpage
This page contains information about the ongoing ICU governance review. This review was established by the Union Executive in August 2006 and is presently in its consultation stage.
It is proposed that the recommendations of this review should be implemented in three separate stages. Phase I is designed to address the committee structure of the Union, Phase II concentrates on the Union Council, and Phase III looks at the broader issue of the legal position of the Union.
The detailed recommendations of the review are documented in the "Governance Review Report", which at 120 pages in length, is quite heavy reading. More digestible summary documents and presentations are also available from this page for those who are interested in the core issues that have arisen from this review.
Progress
The Phase I proposals are being put to the Union Council for consideration at the second Council Meeting of the year, which will meet on Monday October 23rd in the Reynolds bar at 7pm.
This webpage will be updated as the governance review progresses through the myriad of committees and consultative bodies in the Union and College.
