Imperial College London is a world-class teaching and research institution, with over 8500 undergraduates, 5000 postgraduates and 6300 staff spread over eight campuses across London.
Maintaining this reputation, and the high standards of teaching and learning resources that underpin it, is one of the College's most most important goals, and one which heavily involves students - through what is known as the 'representation system'. This is the network of elected students which identifies and deals with any problem affecting teaching, whether it affects one person or a thousand people.
This representation system is run by Imperial College Union, through the City & Guilds College Union (CGCU), Royal College of Science Union, and Imperial College School of Medicine Students' Union.
The PG system is run through the Graduate Students' Association.
