It's a really good opportunity for your event to be publicised through College as part of the year's celebrations. The Rector and other senior staff in College have said they will be happy to come along to the event to open it or do the closing speech, depending on what the club/society would like.

I'm looking to see if we can get Artsfest more publicised in next year's centenary...
Is it possible to apply to College for extra money, and what are the Union's rule if College staff get involved in our activities?
I only mention the latter, because we are likely to get more sponsorship if we can demonstrate that our events are open to all!

ArtsFest.....
You can apply to the College for extra money - but you need to work out who to ask.
College Staff are welcome as audience members to events, but to actually participate in the clubs they must become members of the Union (Either Temporary or Life). Union subsidies are only available to Full members (ie IC students).
