Council

Role

The Council is the sovereign and most powerful committee in the Union. This means that what it says goes and provided it acts within the law, no-one, other than the College's Council or the Charity Commission can over-rule the Council.

The Council determines policy for the whole Union and its constituent parts. It tends to focus on large scale important issues, such as our position on higher education funding or the College’s imminent withdrawal from the University of London. The Council is also responsible for setting all of the rules and regulations for the whole Union.
