Snooker (Wye)
Wye Snooker, well its one of the Newest sports Clubs in Wye since its emergance in early 2005. Well, we like to call it Sport, nothing like having a chilled out game of snooker and one of the very fine beers the Union has on offer in the Union Bar. We currently have one table which is full size and based in the Music Room in the Wye Union building, 1st floor next door to the JCR. All equipment is provided from snooker queus, balls (snooker and pool) and guess how much a yearly membership costs you?? £15 p.a!!! The only time your membership does not give you free playing time is every Tuesday night where table rental is £5 an hour. So get signing up now!!!
In freshers week this year we will have our first ever tournament for all the new members and current members, and the winner of the competition will win £25. Over the year we will run an internal league for the members and the eventual winner will be awarded £75 at the end of year meal. So come on students of Wye get playing some good quality snooker, you never know who you will meet, and what a perfect way to get over Imperial Staff giving you too much work to do!! Skrew that, we would rather pot some balls!!
Any club members who have a serious snooker talent will be sent to meet the ICU team in London to see if they have got the skills to play the best at the BUSA National Champions, held in Leicester.
