Congratulations on securing your place to study at Imperial College London. During your time of study, you will be exposed to many different scenarios previously not experienced. Sikh Society offers a friendly social support network, whilst providing a great opportunity to meet new and interesting people from a wide variety of courses and backgrounds. Furthermore, interfaith links with other societies will allow you enhance your knowledge of Sikhi whilst broadening cultural understanding.
The sangat (community) gets together on a weekly basis to naam jaap (meditate), perform kirtan (singing of hymns) and discuss issues relevant to members or the wider community. Plans for this year include a Fresher’s ICSS Dinner, this will provide a valuable opportunity to meet students from other universities; whom you are also likely to meet again later in the year through inter-university Sikh society events.
