Russian Speaking
The Russian Speaking Society is here for you. We aim to create a sense of community among Russian speaking students at IC and throughout London.
Our activities are split into two distinct areas – social and industrial – although they sometimes overlap. Socially, we regularly organise gettogethers for Russian sporting events, concerts (Mumiy Troll and Split come to mind) and Russian holidays. Often working in tandem with other London (and sometimes further afield) Russian societies, we have had some awesome nights out, most memorably on 23 February and Women’s Day.
The industrial aspect of our society orientates around providing support and relaying opportunities within business and industry for Russian speaking students. Last year we were able to invite our members to recruitment events hosted by the Eastern European branches of Deloitte, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs and many others. We also had the pleasure of being invited to a talk by the renowned economist Prof. Vysokov; an insightful lecture on Russia’s role in world economics.
On the whole, whether you want to get together and support our sports teams, get ahead in business or just reminisce about home, the Russian Speaking society is for you.
