Rugby - Womens
Women’s rugby is a fast growing sport in the UK. It is easy to pick up and play, no previous experience is necessary and we welcome all abilities and levels of fitness.
We are Imperial College Union Women's Rugby Football Club (ICUWRFC), otherwise known as 'The Virgins'. We are one of the most social clubs at Imperial and although some measure of Snakey B is usually involved, we have many non-drinking members and the camaraderie extends further than the bar as we have other team activities such as bowling, tapas and bingo. This year we are looking to organize a couple of tours, both around England to experience rugby life at other universities, and abroad to meet players from other countries and cultures. We believe this helps to bring the team together and is usually a lot of fun!
We hope to continue the success of last season, where we came 2nd in ULU, and 4th in BUSA leagues. Training is on Monday evenings at 6pm, and matches are played on Wednesday afternoons and occasionally Sundays.
