Rugby - Mens (RSM)
Rugby, the game played by the RSM’s finest. The club is renowned in IC for its wild social life and hard hitting games! We practice once a week for first term and have a couple of games then start getting ready for the biggest sporting match in IC - the Bottle Match. Held every spring this annual varsity match against the Camborne School of Mines is world renowned and over a 105 years old making it the second oldest varsity match still being played. We triumphed last year but we need new players each year to compete in this match so that we can retain the Bottle this year. We need new blood to keep the RSM spirit going, not that the old blood is low on spirits, rather it’s a little too high on spirits! The social side is amongst the best with the drinking, singing and leering. So come and sign up at the Freshers Fair or just pop into the RSM Union Office - we welcome all players, even if you're not a miner!
