Medical Humanities

The Medical Humanities Society is informally known as ‘The Purple Coat Club’ and in addition to literature, it encompasses visual arts, media, poetry and film all in the context of the medical profession. We meet regularly to hold discussions that are centred on (but not limited to) the portrayal of medicine in popular culture.

Membership is FREE and meetings are open to all; medics and non-medics. We meet once a month to discuss books or screen films that are medically themed. Meetings usually take place in the brand new Humanities Space (Room S303A) on the third floor of the Sherfield Building, South Kensington Campus.

If you’d like to get involved or would like more information on the diversity of the medical humanities, visit the 'Medical Humanities' blog at http://www.medhum.blogspot.com.
