Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese martial art based on the concept of movement, fluidity and balance. It uses a wide variety of techniques including throws, locks and strikes to defend against unarmed and armed attackers. It is used by the police and armed forces all around the world and is very applicable in everyday life. Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu is not about strength but about technique and the self confidence that comes with getting to know your body and abilities better. If you want to try something new, fun, physically and mentally demanding and have never dared to try martial arts before come along! There is no better feeling than seeing someone twice your size flying through the air and then realizing that it was you who made them do that! If you're a beginner or a pro - come along and we'll make sure you get training tailored to your level! We're a really friendly, social and outgoing club and hence our social calendar is pretty busy and includes a France training camp, an end of season ball, barbeques, poker nights, pub crawls, paint-balling, and of course the obligatory rehydration trip to the pub after each session! So keep Monday, Thursday or Saturday evening free and visit our website www.aiuchi.co.uk for more information. We're really looking forward to meeting you!*
