The Japanese Society is not only for Japanese people but is for everyone! In fact, over half our members are non-Japanese! It is for anyone who appreciates and wants to know more about Japan.
We organise free Japanese lessons throughout the year for members of all abilities, from absolute beginners to advanced natives. These lessons have been very popular and extremely successful. There are also many events throughout the year, for example, trips to Japanese restaurants and clubbing events organised with Japanese society members from other London universities. This year we are also trying to arrange a karaoke night as well as many more large scale events! For the sporting members of our society we also arrange weekly football matches with other overseas societies throughout London.
