Imperial Queers (LGBT)
We are Imperial’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered society.
IQ primarily aims to provide a friendly environment where you can meet other like-minded students, be it in the context of a quiet film night or the LGBT book club, a night out or a day trip to somewhere a little more cultural.
In addition to these social activities, we are also here to provide a ‘safe space’ support scheme for students who may be uncomfortable or questioning with respect to their sexuality, and we have a Women’s Officer specifically to readdress the balance in what can sometimes seem like a male-dominated environment (especially at IC!).
We maintain good connections with other universities and attend each other’s LGBT union nights. If you are interested (or just curious) come along to our stall at Freshers’ Fair or email us.
