ICHC Men's 1st XI Captain at this year's Varsity

Imperial College Hockey Club is the largest mixed sports club at Imperial. We run 4 men’s teams, 2 ladies’ teams and a mixed side with playing ability varying from complete beginners right the way through to national level players. Whether it’s regular high level competitive hockey you’re after, or a cheeky runaround on a Wednesday afternoon with a stick and friends before heading to the bar, ICHC is here for you!

All of the teams compete regularly in the BUCS and ULU leagues. Our Men’s 1st team play in the second highest university league in England and both the Men’s 1st and Ladies’ 1st teams regularly play against the best university teams in London. So don’t be confused by the different hockey clubs on offer at Imperial, after all there is only one ICHC!

With almost 90 members our social events are also among the best here at College. We hold a black tie dinner at the end of every year in addition to regular socials such as pub golf, curry nights, Freshers Tour and bar-nights. Joining the hockey club is a great way to get fit and make new friends.

We are most famous for our large tours; we have a weekend tour at the start of the year, and every July we also organise a summer tour for 30-40 people. They combine mixed hockey with a great social side, previous destinations include Ghana, India, Slovenia and most recently this year – Malaysia.
