]Imperial College London Women’s Football Club is an excellent way to meet girls who share the same passion for football, and more importantly fun. We play both 11-a-side football (outside) and Futsal (indoors) so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. All abilities are welcome here, so don’t let the fact you haven’t played before put you off!
11-a-side football training is held on Thursday evenings at Harlington Sport’s Ground with a qualified coach. Matches against other universities are played on both Wednesdays and Sundays, as we enter into two different league and cup competitions.
Futsal training sessions are held weekday mornings before university starts, making it a great way to start the day. There are two Futsal tournament heats each year (one each term), with the potential to play in the National Finals.
Don’t worry though, its not all football, football, football – we are also a very social club. After matches on Wednesday we usually go out for dinner, before heading to the Union for Sport’s night with the other clubs. During the year there are also more organised events, including the formal Christmas and annual dinners and pub-crawls (organised with the men’s football club).
