De La Beche
The DLB society is a long standing club founded in 1914. The club is named after Sir Henry De La Beche, also the founder of the Royal School of Mines. The society boasts a large array of members including many leading geologists and anyone from the college who wishes to get involved. We welcome members with all geological abilities and promote the chance to learn under a relaxed and social environment.
During the coming year we will host a variety of events. You will have the chance to join us on fieldtrips, mixing stunning geology with social beers. Come along to talks, meals and our annual symposium. We uphold a strong reputation with mining and oil companies and they continue to sponsor the majority of our events. If you have the desire to learn more about things from dinosaurs to volcanoes then the DLB is certainly for you!
