acc cricketA warm welcome to all Freshers 2008/2009!

The cricket club is now open for business with nets beginning on 8th October at Oval Indoor School.

With our 2nd XI winning the ULU cup last year, our Women's XI reaching the National Shield last 16, and the 1st and 3rd XIs reaching the finals of the ULU leagues in recent years, Imperial has one of the best cricket teams within the University of London.

The club runs three Men’s teams and a Women’s team during the summer term, with abilities ranging from novice through to county players. The club runs net sessions at the MCC Indoor School at Lord’s and at the Indoor School at the Oval once a week during the Autumn and Spring terms catering for players of all abilities. We compete in the BUSA and ULU leagues so the summer is jam-packed with cricket.

Last season, the club went on an action packed tour to Wales, and the season before, the club toured Thailand where we competed in an International Sixes competition featuring some of the best club sides in the world! Whether you’re a serious player looking for some stiff competition, a beginner looking to improve your game, or you’re just looking for an excuse to have a few drinks, the cricket club has something to offer you!

Due to unprecedented demand, nets are by invitation only so for your chance to attend, make sure that you join our mailing list.

Those who signed up at Fresher's Fayre will be added to this automatically, but others who are interested should e-mail cricket.club@ic.ac.uk

Membership is also available for purchase through the Union website.
