dB's Nightclub

dB’s is the Union’s signature nightclub venue, from big acts such as Tim Westwood and Trevor Nelson (Radio 1), Joe Ransom (Fabric), Brian May (Queen) gracing our decks and down to the local talent on campus giving us the best in cheese, R&B, Salsa, Drum n Bass, and Rock.

Not a Friday night passes during the term without a great show being put on by the whole staff team (to find out how to become part of the team see later); and there is a sizeable dance floor in the middle of the room for all you movers and shakers out there to groove the night away! Occasions like Halloween and St Patrick’s Day are also big theme nights for the Union, with regular drinks promos and giveaways happening.

The venue is also the location for our Jazz Big Band nights, which are renowned in college for being one of the best free nights of Jazz available, with music made famous by the bands of Count Basie, Buddy Rich and Frank Sinatra, these evenings bring out an eclectic mix of people so get there early to avoid disappointment!
