stoic tv is Imperial’s award-winning student television station. We produce everything from light entertainment to documentaries, short films and weekly live news broadcasts. We’re also involved in filming Union events. You can watch us in the Junior Common Room on campus or online right now, at stoictv.com.
Our vast range of shows means you could show off your presenting skills, or be a cutting-edge journalist to film the next exclusives for stoic news. Or, you can join our Short Films Group to practise your scriptwriting and acting talents. You can even produce your own programmes (but sorry, no porn). And if editing’s your thing, we have Adobe Premier and a PowerMac with Final Cut Pro.
We have our very own studio and gallery, and our workshops mean you can be directing or vision mixing in no time. Also, if you don’t know your TBC from your DSK, don’t worry – we have masterclasses to help. Alternatively, join our legion of techies, and plug, bodge and code away to make our broadcast network bigger and better.
As a member, you can borrow equipment for personal projects, as well as being able to attend our events, parties and infamous weekly bar nights.
