Congratulations on entering the best university in the country and welcome to the Imperial Sikh Society (ICSS)!
Our aim is to enrich your university experience and help you with your career at university and beyond. We will give you the opportunity to meet our numerous members and start networking early. We have exciting plans for this year. First off we have the Fresher’s ICSS dinner, where you’ll meet all the guys and girls from ICSS and the other Universities’ Sikh societies. We will hold guest lectures from leading banks (like Goldman Sachs), actuary firms, and finance recruitment agencies, giving you qualified advice on how to enter the career you want. There will be a ‘notes co-operative’ to help and support you across all subjects and years, giving you the competitive edge in your course that most won’t have.
We will also run weekly classes where you’ll learn about Sikhi, prayers and culture and finally there will be amazing opportunities to do charity work one evening every month, distributing food to the homeless a part of Sikhism that is spiritually satisfying and looks great on your CV. Your first year is incredibly exciting, and we look forward to being a part of it. See you at the Freshers’ Fair!
