Welcome to the Parkour, Freerunning and Gymnastics society page at imperial!
Wikipedia defines parkour as the physical discipline of training to overcome any obstacle within one's path by adapting one's movements to the environment.
Freerunning adds gymnastic elements to parkour to demonstrate athletic talent (look awesome).

We are currently holding 3 types of weekly sessions: An inside imperial general session, London outdoors training and open gymnastics sessions at a fully-equipped gymnasium. Something we are looking into is taught gymnastics sessions with an outside instructor, so stay tuned for updates on that. Any of these sessions you are welcome to come along too, even if you're a complete beginner, and you haven't bought membership yet but want to try it out.
ALL of our information, and events for trips, are created from our Facebook group page:

You: "That looks incredible! But I have no experience! I'd just slow everyone else down."
Us: Don't worry about it! There's a mix of experienced runners and newbies. You learn from the people who are better than you. We're a tribe and you're gonna fit in great!
You: "But I'm fat/skinny, unflexible and unfit."
Us: Don't sweat it! You are what you are. Love it. But by the time you're done with us, you'll be a god/goddess among men. Admired and adored by all, bathed in "je ne sais quois" and dripping in members of the opposite sex. All you'll need is some self-belief, leave the rest to us.
You: "What should I wear?"
Us: Wear clothes, Come comfortable. Express yourself. You'll quickly learn what works for you. Nudity only accepted at the discretion of Society president. Applications by email.
You: "Do I have to be a member before I come?"
Us: No. We're much more informal than other clubs. Leave the paperwork to us. You pay your membership when you feel like a member.
You: "I'm a poor student :( What does it cost?"
Us: We hear you. Membership costs £5 for the year (an unfortunate formality), the gym sessions get subsidised by a grant that we get from the union, so after that, it'll be free. We don't want to charge you for coming and hanging out.
