Netball
Imperial College Netball is the largest all ladies club at Imperial with approximately 50 members. We are continually increasing in both size and status and expecting even more members for this coming season.
The club has 4 competitive teams which participate in both the ULU and BUCS leagues, normally playing in 2 matches a week on Monday and Wednesday. We also have a friendly team for those girls who just want to have a bit of a laugh and stay fit! So even if you have never played netball before check us out a the Freshers Fair and come along to a training session!
Training is held on a Thursday evening at Emslie Horniman's Pleasance near Notting Hill, its easy to get to from campus with the 452, 52 and 70 buses going straight there from Queens Gate/High Street Kensington and the 295 bus from Fulham/Hammersmith. Our coach this year is the fantastic Helen Gill, she has been coaching us for 2 years now and used to play for the 1st team.
But its not all matches and training! As group of girls with an active social calendar we know how to study hard, play harder and party harder-er :) You will normally be able to find us at the Union on a Wednesday night hopefully celebrating after winning all our matches! We have a Christmas dinner every year which is always a fantastic night and we are currently planning a tour to somewhere sunny to end the season on a flourish!
