MusicSoc Tour 2010
Monday 12th to Monday 19th July 2010
As I hope we all know by now this year's tour is to Budapest. As with previous tours it's going to be a whole week of fun and frolics in the summer sun.
Buapest is a particularly exciting destination for several reasons. Chief among these is how jaw-droppingly cheap the entire place is - pints of the delicious local brew Arany Aszock can be acquired for around £1, an artery lining late night Budapest style kebab is yours for £2-ish, and all the tourist attractions (zoo, theme park, castle visit, giant outdoor swimming pool, boat rides) are attractively priced under £5. We will even be including most of that lot of those in the price.
Secondly Budapest loves classical music. It really does - roughly half the streets are named after famous composers. The other half tend to be named after Stalin, Lenin, or just have random jumbles of letters on their signs. I feel it would be our honour to play in such a noble and historic place.
Thirdly it's great on the partying front - there are a lot of big mainstream touristy clubs playing the latest chart hits, and there are also smaller and calmer spots where one can enjoy the very finest in Hungarian trance-polka.

The cost of the tour is £295. What a bargin. Even more brilliantly you only have to pay £100 now, and the rest later! If you would dearly love to come but have real financial difficulties then e-mail Rupert in confidence - we have some funds in the kitty to help out. Equally, if you can afford, but not at present time due too far too much partying in the first weeks of term, then please do come and chat - we can work something out, but speak sooner rather than later!
The dates are July 12th-19th. During this week we will play four concerts, see all the sights, drink all the booze, eat all the wierd Hungarian food, etc etc.
If you don't come you'll have no friends for the rest of your life.
