Freshers '09

Freshers Top 2

Welcome to the Imperial College School of Medicine Music Society. We are the largest traditional society within the medical school with well over one hundred members and we hope to be able to cater for whatever taste you have in music— if your idol’s Alexander Borodin or Axl Rose we have a group for you and you don't even need to be a medical student. Most importantly, we do out best to cater for whatever standard you are at– whether you have never sung before in your life (most of our members, all of our committee), or whether you are Mozart in the making, and all of this in a light-hearted, sociable environment, with really surprisingly low levels of public humiliation.

Besides the jolly social scene we put on eight very high quality concerts a year—this year we featured on the BBC’s Songs of Praise, and we are singing in the Albert Hall in October! This year we have launched a new scholarship for one freshers every year and next summer we are going on international tour! Find out more below.

We will be holding a MusicSoc Freshers Mingle on Saturday 10th October in South Kensington. Leave your details here to be the first to hear the final details... Also, feel free to e-mail me, Rupert, the chairman of the society with any questions.
