University is great place to discover new things as well as go back to your roots and learn more about your religion. The newly formed Jain Society aims to help gain a better understanding of Jain philosophy and its application in modern day life.
What is Jainism? Jainism is one of the oldest religions in the world. Its guiding principles for life are right belief, right knowledge & right conduct. The five great vows are non violence (ahimsa), truthfullness (satya), non-possession (aparigraha), non-stealing (asteya) & chastity (brahmacharya). If this makes you ask questions & seek answers then come and find us at freshers fair to sign up & look out for our introductory session. We’ve got lots of events planned for this year including stimulating talks, discussions & trips to temples.
