Floorball is a fun, fast-paced, non-contact sport that originated in Scandinavia and is also known as innebandy, salibandy and unihockey.
It is similar to hockey except that it is played indoors with lightweight composite sticks and a hollow plastic ball which can move at up to 100 mph. The lightweight ball and stick make for incredible ball-handling and a safe game. In addition, the rules of floorball forbid high sticks as well as any form of stick or body contact so injuries are kept to an absolute minimum.
Floorball is suitable for both men and women of all ages and abilities and is a great way to exercise in an enjoyable and safe environment.
Even Henrik Larsson (left) plays Floorball - it must be good!
